15^th Annual Indiana Massage Therapy Awareness Week

Please mark your calendars and clear some time to celebrate Indiana Massage Therapy Awareness Week. This will be the 15^th year that we have offered complimentary massages to anyone at the State Capitol Building, and the Governor has previously signed a Proclamation honoring massage therapy in Indiana. It is fun and informative as we also encourage you to meet one of your State Legislators while you are in the building.

In the past years, the biggest participation has come from our schools and their fantastic students. Thank you to all of the instructors who take the time to attend this learning experience! The students have said it was a wonderful experience for them, as they get to work on lots of different people as well as interact with professional therapists.  

We really need our regular membership to volunteer. It is easy to carry a chair in, and sometimes we have extras for you to use. February is often a slow month for many of us, so make great use of some down  time and plan a morning or afternoon with us.  Share your pride in the Profession! We will be happy to put your loving hands to work, even if it is only for a few hours.

Our official event is at the Capitol Building; however you are also encouraged to mark this week with an open house or event in your own community.
