The American Massage Therapy Association is unique in that it is the oldest professional organization for massage therapists. It is also a non-profit, volunteer orientated organization. You may obtain quite a bit of information from our Indiana Chapter website, and even contact the Board of Directors personally. When should you contact the National AMTA office? 1. To change your contact information. 2. As a professional member you may enroll in the "Find a Therapist" locator service. 3. To renew your membership. 4. To review members benefits. 5. To adjust your insurance policy to enroll the State of Indiana as a co-insured. This is required if you are an Indiana CMT, and has no additional cost to you. 6. To look over "events" and recent press releases regarding massage therapy. 7. E-News consumer e-mails are available, as are links to research on the profession. 8. Volunteer finder and job posting is available. 9. If you wish to lodge a complaint regarding an AMTA member, this is where you will need to go. Hopefully you will not need to do so! 10. Continuing education is available on-line here. 11. Update your continuing education courses that you have completed. Members must do 48 hours every 4 years. 12. It will take 5 minutes, and may greatly enhance your career! www.amtamassage.org or call 847-864-0123 |
