Jerri Quillman, first woman executive vice president at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, retired last month and received the President's Award from the AMTA Indiana Chapter for outstanding service to the massage community. The award was presented on June 24th by Patricia Clouse, AMTA-Indiana board member and Awards Chair.

| HB 1573 Passes the House and Senate |

| This Bill, upon signature, would require CMT’s to show their license if requested. Upon Certification, therapists are issued a pocket card as well as a wall certificate.

| (INDIANAPOLIS) – The Indiana Chapter of the American Massage Therapy
Association announced the deadline for the Indiana Certified Massage
Therapist (CMT) certification regarding the Grandfathering Provisions.
Applicants must file under Section 10 (a) or Section 10 (c) to be filed
under this provision.

| Indiana Chapter of AMTA to Host National Experts in Two-Day Workshop |

| HB1573 was heard in the Senate Health and Provider Committee,
chaired by Senator Patricia Miller. Some amendments were made in the
Bill pertaining to language regarding the profession of massage
therapy.
The language prohibiting Cosmetologist from performing services as
they pertain to a Certified Massage Therapist was deleted. The request
